About LUX* Grand Gaube

The 186 rooms, suites and villas are comfortably furnished with a light and airy style that invites in the sweeping Indian Ocean views. Superior Rooms include a shower and toilet only and can interconnect for families, or upgrade to a Junior Suite with separate bath and shower and a ground floor terrace just a few steps from the beach. We also like the Ocean Junior Suites, as they have a large private balcony with loungers and outdoor bath, so are perfect for couples or honeymooners. Family Suites can accommodate two adults and three children, and feature a master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom and a second room with large double sofa beds, a second bathroom and a walk-in dressing room. The three LUX* Villas are the largest accommodations in the resort and are set on their own private peninsula. They each boast two bedrooms, an outdoor lounge, relaxation deck, private swimming pool, gazebo and 24-hour butler service.

Since re-opening at the end of 2017, LUX* Grand Gaube has undergone a spectacular transformation, re-imagined with the flair of designer Kelly Hoppen to create a retro-chic tropical retreat. Set on a peninsula overlooking the inviting turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, this resort really has it all. Enjoy two glorious beaches, an impressive range of complimentary watersports, LIVE nightly entertainment and the heavenly LUX* ME Spa.

Best Time to Travel to LUX* Grand Gaube

Mauritius, a tropical island paradise in the Indian Ocean, offers travelers a year-round escape to pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and a rich cultural heritage.

**Dry Season (May to October):** The dry season in Mauritius is the most popular time to visit. From May to October, the weather is sunny and dry, with cooler temperatures and gentle trade winds. This is the perfect time for beach lovers, water sports enthusiasts, and outdoor activities. Explore the beautiful beaches of Belle Mare, visit the colorful botanical gardens in Pamplemousses, or go hiking in the Black River Gorges National Park.

**Wet Season (November to April):** The wet season in Mauritius brings warmer temperatures and occasional rain showers, as it falls within the cyclone season. However, it's still possible to visit, and this season offers lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices. It's an excellent time for experiencing cultural activities, such as the Thaipoosam Cavadee festival, and exploring the island's unique culture and cuisine.

Whether you're relaxing in a luxury resort, snorkeling in the clear turquoise waters, or savoring Creole dishes like seafood curry, Mauritius promises a tranquil and idyllic escape year-round. Discover the magic of this Indian Ocean paradise and create lasting memories in this tropical haven.
